Actor Shefali Shah has tested positive for Covid-19.

Sharing an update on social media, Shefali wrote, "I have tested positive for Covid-19. Have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctor. Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get tested immediately too."

Shefali was recently seen in Darlings (on Netflix). She essayed the role of Shamsu, the supportive mother of Alia Bhatt's character Badru. Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, the film tackled the subject domestic abuse through a dark-comedy lens.

"Because of the work I’ve done previously, there’s an image that I’m too serious," Shefali told Cinema Express in an interview. "People don’t think I can be funny or wicked or both. But I feel Shamsu is the closest to what I am as a person."

Shefali's next release is Delhi Crime season 2.
