A team of the Mumbai Police reportedly visited actor Ranveer Singh's residence in Mumbai on Friday. The team was there to issue summons to the actor to appear before the police in connection to the nude photoshoot case.

Ranveer’s photoshoot with Paper Magazine, earlier this month, became a national issue after an FIR was registered by a Mumbai- based NGO against the actor for ‘outraging the modesty of women.’ The case was registered against Ranveer for posting the photos on his Instagram account.

As per reports, the team of cops was told the actor is not at home and will return on August 16. They will visit his residence again to issue the summons, the reports add.

Ranveer Singh portrays supercop Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao in Rohit Shetty's cop universe. His forthcoming releases are Cirkus and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani
