Actor Aamir Khan, who essays a role of Sardar in his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, recently showed the film to the members of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), a Sikh religious body, and won their approval.

Talking about the screening, Aamir says, “I was very touched with the reaction of the members of the SGPC. I am so glad that our film touched their hearts so deeply."

Before the shoot, the makers had shown the script of Laal Singh Chaddha to the members of SGPC to get the nuances right.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Indian remake of Forrest Gump. The film releases on August 11.
