Akshaye Khanna has joined the cast of Drishyam 2. The film, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, is a sequel to the Hindi Drishyam and adapted from the Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam 2.

Tabu started shooting for the film earlier this week. Sharing a picture with Akshaye, she wrote, "Delighted to have a gem of an actor on board for #Drishyam2 Akshaye Khanna #TrulyTalented."

Drishyam 2 (Hindi) is directed by Abhishek Pathak. The film begins seven years after the events of the first film and tests Vijay’s (Ajay’s character) resolve to protect his family. He is joined in the cast by Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and others.

Akshaye was last seen in Hungama 2 and State of Siege: Temple Attack.
