Shah Rukh Khan recently hosted Sharayana Bhattacharya, author of Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh: India's Lonely Young Women and the Search for Intimacy and Independence, at his house Mannat. He also gave her a handwritten note about the book and added it to his library.

The author posted a photo of the note and wrote, "They say you should never meet your heroes. Whoever wrote/thought that had clearly never encountered @iamsrk After meeting him for an hour at Mannat last night, I can only say that he is superhuman, not of this universe, yet the most humane." She also thanked Shah Rukh's manager Pooja Dadlani for arranging the meeting.

"The book has finally reached its intended destination: his library at Mannat. Yes, we took photos. But woh kitaab ki one year anniversary par post karenge #finallyfoundshahrukh," she added.

The note by the superstar read, “To Shrayana, Thank you for putting me to some good use." He added, “My love and thanks to you and all those wonderful women who like me so much. More power to you and your tribe."

Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh was released last year. As per a synopsis on Google Books, the book "maps the economic and personal trajectories--the jobs, desires, prayers, love affairs and rivalries--of a diverse group of women. Divided by class but united in Shah Rukh's fandom, they remain steadfast in their search for intimacy, independence and fun."

On the work front, Shah Rukh is going to be seen next in Yash Raj's Pathaan with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. The superstar is also working with director Atlee.
