Kartik Aaryan succeeds Akshay Kumar in the upcoming sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa. On Tuesday, Kartik shared the first motion poster of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The actor is seen in black attire on a cloudy, full-moon night. He’s seated atop an old dome, emphasizing the Lucknow setting of the new film. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa theme plays with ominous thunderclaps.
Kartik took to twitter to share the new release date of the film.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is directed by Anees Bazmee and written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik. The sequel stars Kartik along with Tabu and Kiara Advani. Actors Rajpal Yadav (who also appeared in the 2007 film) and Sanjay Mishra are also featured in the cast.
Unlike Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which was a psychological thriller, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be a pure horror film. Anees in a prior interview had shared that the sequel will have a new story and won’t continue from the end of the previous film.
