Actor Anshuman Jha has won the Best Actor - Critics Award at the Indian International Film Festival of Boston (IIFFB) for his performance in Midnight-Delhi.

In the film, Anshuman portrays 'an innocent serial killer in the streets of Delhi.' The actor pegs the film as "as dark and as fun as it can get."

Midnight-Delhi previously picked up the Best Editor prize at the Singapore South Asian Film Festival.

Speaking about working with Anshuman, director Rakesh Rawat said, "As an artist, he is very unique. He is dancing to a rare tune. I am so glad he agreed to be a part of my debut film and has given such nuance to this character."

Anshuman portrayed a gay man in his last outing, Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele. The actor has been training for his action film, Lakadbaggha, which goes on floors this December.
