Ajay Devgn and Tabu will begin shooting for the Drishyam sequel in December, reports claim.

The Hindi-language Drishyam, directed by Nishikant Kamat, was released in 2015. The film was an adaptation of the 2013 Malayalam thriller of the same name, starring Mohanlal.

Earlier this year, Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam 2 - The Redemption skipped its theatrical release to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Following the film's success, producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, who also produced the first remake, announced that his banner has acquired the Hindi sequel rights to the franchise.

As per reports, Tabu and Ajay will be returning as their characters Meera Deshmukh and Vijay Salgaonkar respectively. The Hindi sequel will be directed by Abhishek Pathak (Ujda Chaman) following the passing of Nishikant Kamat last year.
