Filming of Ishaan Khatter-Mrunal Thakur's Pippa begins

The makers of the war film, Pippa, starring Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur, have announced that the shooting of the film has commenced. The film, produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films, has music by AR Rahman.

The film's first look was also released yesterday and it features Ishaan, who essays a soldier, standing in a war tank while resting his hand on a gun.

The film also features Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in supporting roles. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon of Airlift-fame, the film is set during the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and a tagline on the poster reads, "1971. A nation comes of age."

Pippa has cinematography by Priya Seth, who has earlier collaborated with Raja Krishna on Airlift and Chef.

Meanwhile, Ishaan was last seen in Khaali Peeli and has Phone Bhoot in the pipeline. On the other hand, Mrunal will be seen in JerseyAankh Micholi, and a Telugu film co-starring Dulquer Salmaan.
