Varun Dhawan will make his digital debut in the Indianized series of the Russo Brothers’ Citadel, claims a report in The Quint.

Citadel is an upcoming global series from Joe and Anthony Russo's AGBO Studio. Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) are starring in the 'mothership' edition of the show, which will originate in the US. Meanwhile, there will also be localised editions from India, Mexico and Italy.

According to The Quint's report, Varun will headline the Indian edition of Citadel, which will be directed by Raj and DK. The series is independently set but will connect with and cross-reference the mothership series.

Varun is yet to announce his digital debut on any platform (Citadel is produced by Amazon Studios). The actor's upcoming film is Bhediya, a horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik.
