Sanjay Mishra-led Samosa and Sons will have a digital release. The film, directed by Shalini Shah, is a satire about a submissive samosa shop owner who is nagged by his dead father's ghost to have a son.

Written by Deepak Tiruwa, the film tackles notions of patriarchy and the societal conditioning to desire a son. Sanjay essays the ghost father with Chandan Bisht playing his son.

Samosa and Sons was shot in Uttarakhand during the pandemic. The supporting cast includes Brijendra Kala, Neha Garg, Jeetu Shashtri, Meera Suyal, Rachna Bisht, Minal Sah, and others.

Shalini's 2000 documentary, From the Land of Buddhism to the Land of Buddha, won the National Award for Best Historical Reconstruction/Compilation Film. She was also the artistic-director/co-founder of the first Kautik Student Film Festival (KSFF) in Nainital.
