Laal Singh Chaddha to open April 14 next year, clashing with KGF: Chapter 2

Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha will open in cinemas on Baisakhi, April 14, 2022.

The film, directed by Advait Chandan, is the official Indian adaptation of Forrest Gump. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya.

Laal Singh Chaddha will clash at the box office with KGF: Chapter 2. The second instalment in the KGF saga stars Yash with antagonist Sanjay Dutt.

"We are happy to share our new poster and our new release date :)," Aamir Khan Productions tweeted.

Laal Singh Chaddha is adapted by Atul Kulkarni from Eric Roth's original screenplay. The film's music is composed by Pritam with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It is presented by Viacom18 Studios.

Forrest Gump, released in 1994, was the story of an Alabama youth whose life journey coincides with important events in American history. In the Hindi version, Aamir portrays a Sardar man who goes through a similar arc, in the Indian context. The film is pegged as a love story and was shot in over 100 locations across India.
