Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail has completed 12 years. Released in 2009, the film starred Neil Nitin Mukesh as a man who is falsely implicated in a drugs case and imprisoned. The film explored issues of wrongful convictions, prisoner abuse and the surfeit of under-trials in Indian jails. Besides Neil, the drama also featured Aarya Babbar, Mugdha Godse and Manoj Bajpayee.

"12 years of film Jail. One of my favourite films, which shows the plight of the ones under trial & the judicial system. Very well edged natural performance by Neil Nithin Mukesh, Manoj Bajpayee  and Mugdha Godse." Madhur tweeted sharing the film's trailer.

Neil tweeted his post with, "Congratulations to you and our entire team Madhur Bhandarkar sir. This has to be one of my best experiences as an actor in my career so far. Learnt a lot from you. Thank you for making me a part of this beautiful film."

Madhur's upcoming film is India Lockdown, about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
