Shahid Kapoor's Jersey reportedly postponed amid rise in Covid cases

The producers of Jersey have decided to postpone the release of Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur-starrer in the face of rising Covid cases in the country. This comes after the theatres in Delhi shut down and the ones in Mumbai began to operate at 50 per cent occupancy. 

It was reported that the producers have hence decided to call off the theatrical release set to take place on December 31. The film is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who also helmed the original starring Nani in Telugu. The Hindi version will also star Pankaj Kapur in a pivotal role. 

Jersey is produced by Allu Entertainment, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments, and Brat Films. The background score for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander while Sachet-Parampara composed the songs.
