Ranveer Singh's recent release 83 is getting praised by many. Critics have mostly given a thumbs up to the film, which is based on Indian cricket team's historic World Cup in 1983. Rajinikanth is the latest from the film fraternity to appreciate the film and its makers.

In his tweet, the superstar tagged and congratulated the film's director Kabir Khan, Ranveer, and Tamil actor Jiiva, who plays an important role in the film.

83, which celebrates India's first cricket World Cup win, has Ranveer playing the part of the team's captain Kapil Dev. All the cast members have been praised for depicting the original Indian squad authentically.

Besides Ranveer as Kapil, the film features Jiiva as Kris Srikkanth, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, and so on.

83 has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.
