On the latest special episode of Koffee with Karan that streamed on YouTube, Dhanush promoted his upcoming Hindi film Atrangi Re with his co-star Sarah Ali Khan. The popular talk show hosted by producer-director Karan Johar sees Dhanush share his experiences of working with Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and director Aanand L Rai. 

In Dhanush's first-ever Rapid Fire round, he is asked the usual questions Karan has in store for his star guests. It included rating actors by their talent among other things. Considering the release of 83 slated to release on December 24, biopics are topical. One of these questions posed to Dhanush is if he was interested in working on someone's biopic. 

Dhanush did not hesitate and was enthusiastic to answer that he had not one, but two people whose biopic he wanted to star in. One is Rajinikanth, and the second is Ilaiyaraaja. He was also asked which of his films he would want to be remade in Hindi and he said that he would choose Polladhavan. 

He translated the film's name for Karan and Sara and then he also added that it was a film that was directed by one of his favourite directors -- Vetrimaaran.  

At the start of the episode, Karan also appreciated and applauded Dhanush's performance in his film Asuran, also directed by Vetrimaaran.
