Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021: Mirzapur S2, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amruta Subhash win top honours

Indian streaming content has shown bright at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) 2021. The awards honour excellence in the film and television industry across the APAC region.

Konkona Sen Sharma has been named the Best Actress in a Leading Role for Geeli Pucchi (Ajeeb Daastaans), while Amruta Subhash has won in the supporting role category for Bombay Begums.

Amazon Prime Video's Mirzapur season 2 is the Best Original Program by a Streamer/OTT. The award for Best Original Screenplay has gone to Umesh Bist's Pagglait on Netflix.

Other wins from India include Best Branded Program or Series (Cruising Legends: Dawn Patrol - MX Player), Best Sound (Pagglait) and Best Single News Story/Report (India’s Covid-19 Crisis - BBC World News).
