A24 has released the trailer for its upcoming coming-of-age drama When You Finish Saving the World online. The trailer shows a young teen struggling to connect with his mom while also grappling with his passion for music, the attention that comes with it, and the need to connect with people his age. 

The film stars Stranger Things fame Finn Wolfhard as the teenager while Academy Award-winning actor Julianne Moore plays his mother. Alisha Boe, Billy Bryk, Jack Justice, Sara Anne, Annacheska Brown, Jordyn Aurora Aquino, and Mónica Sánchez round out the rest of the cast.

Actor Jesse Eisenberg is making his directorial debut with the film which is based on his 2020 audio drama of the same name. Eisenberg is best known for starring in films like The Social Network, Now You See Me, Vivarium, and Zombieland.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2022 and received generally favourable reviews from critics.

A24 is currently planning to release When You Finish Saving the World on 20 January 2023.
