Spider-Man: No Way Home New Trailer: Multi-verse of villains, still no sign of 'Spider-Men'

CE Features

With the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home just a month away, the makers have released its second trailer amidst a lot of speculation, leaks, and denials.

The third film in the Tom Holland's Spiderman franchise, following Homecoming, and being Far From Home, has a lot of bad guys like Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard and Sandman. And the ones who have been following the updates would have known by now that all of them are from a different universe. Though the supervillains are from Tobey Mcguire and Andrew Garfield's world, there are no signs of them in the trailer and this has disappointed the fans, who were waiting for the money shot of the three spider-men taking on Sinister Six.

But, wait! The trailer does get a similar shot, albeit minus two spider-men. We see Tom Holland's Spider-Man take on the villains single-handedly. But is he actually alone? This is the one question on the minds of all netizens and a section of them have spotted that Lizard seems to get a punch from someone invisible in the trailer, so, 'Who punched lizard?' Several people have started to speculate that Tobey and Andrew have been digitally removed from the final shot, to kindle the curiosity of the audience.

In addition to Holland's Peter Parker, the film brings back Jacob Batalon's Ned,  Zendaya's MJ and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, the present mentor-figure of Peter Parker and the man who unleashes the multiverse.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theatres on December 17.
