Landman-fame James Jordan has reportedly joined the cast of They Follow, the upcoming sequel to David Robert Mitchell’s critically acclaimed 2015 horror film It Follows.

Character details are being kept under wraps, as is the plot of the second instalment. Set a decade after the events of the original, They Follow sees Maika Monroe reprise her role as Jay Height, with Naomi Ackie joining the cast. The film also stars Jackie Earle Haley, Justine Lupe, Anna Mirodin, Jayne Taini, Michael Gandolfini, Tom Pecinka, Melora Walters, Ben Krieger, Natalie Shinnick and Jan Hoag.

Mitchell returns to direct and write the sequel. He is also producing the film with Jake Weiner, Chris Bender, Erik Rommesmo, Mike D’Alto, Randal Sandler, Scott Aharoni, Sinan Eczacıbaşı, David Kaplan, Rebecca Green and Laura Smith.

It Follows featured Monroe as a college student who becomes the target of a mysterious supernatural entity following a sexual encounter. The entity relentlessly pursues its victims, taking the form of different people. The film was widely acclaimed and grossed around $23 million worldwide against a reported budget of just over $1 million.

Jordan is best known for playing petroleum engineer Dale Bradley in the Paramount+ series Landman, which is set to return for its third season. His other notable credits include Wind River, Yellowstone and Special Ops: Lioness.
