Director Brian Jett's upcoming romantic road film You Always has found its leads in Kelli Garner (Lars and the Real Girl) and Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield). Notably, Jett has helmed Let Go, starring Kevin Hart, Gillian Jacobs, and David Denman.
Garner and Stahl-David are joined by Oliver Cooper (Project X), Sabrina Jalees (Black Mirror), and John Patrick Amedori (Dear White People). The upcoming film follows an exhausted photographer (Stahl-David), who, on his 20th high school reunion, goes on an impulsive road trip to find his high school sweetheart (Garner), the woman he could never let go of.
Jett is co-producing the film with Thousand Miles Entertainment and Caitlin Carleton.
Popular for the 2008 film Cloverfield, Stahl-David's credits include In Your Eyes (2014), The Light of the Moon (2017), My Blind Brother (2016), and No Small Days (2021). Last seen in Protector (2025), he has The Last Day, opposite Alicia Vikander, Wagner Moura, and Victoria Pedretti, in the pipeline.
Garner, meanwhile, has appeared in The Aviator (2004), Horns (2013), G-Force (2009), and Dreamland (2006). Her next, Misty Green, opposite Rosalind Eleazr, Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick, Topher Grace, and Chris Rock (also the director), releases in the US on October 9.
