Filmmaker Osgood Perkins' next Longlegs movie with Nicolas Cage, which comes from Paramount, will get its theatrical release on January 14, 2028, coinciding with the Martin Luther King weekend.

The first film, which was released in 2024, features FBI agent Lee Harker, who establishes a connection between a string of disturbing murder-suicides after uncovering a pattern of cryptic occult messages tied to a shadowy figure known as Longlegs (Cage). She faces a deadlock in cracking the case as Longlegs doesn't physically commit the crimes but employs mental manipulation on his victims.

Perkins, Cage, Brian Kavanaugh Jones, Chris Ferguson, and Dave Caplan are producing the film. Opening to positive reviews upon release, Longlegs, made on a modest budget of $10 million, raked in $128 million worldwide.

With his MGM+ superhero noir series Spider-Noir under post-production, Cage also has Madden, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, Lords of War, The Prince, Fortitude, and Best Pancakes in the County in the pipeline.
