Noted actor Alexander Ludwig, known for his roles in Vikings, The Hunger Games, and Bad Boys, is all set to become a director with the upcoming film Billings. He will also be starring in the lead in the indie drama alongside Carla Gugino, Grace Beedie, Taylor Hickson and James Jordan.

The story follows a young girl (Beedie), who is struggling with cystic fibrosis. Her already fragile condition worsens when she suddenly loses access to essential healthcare and the medication that keeps her alive. As time begins to run out, her brother Easton (Ludwig) is pushed to face the harsh realities of a failing system. Desperate to save his sister, he resorts to robbing pharmacies to secure the life-saving drugs she needs, highlighting the grim and unforgiving challenges within modern American healthcare. Billings is created and backed by Enderby Entertainment.

Ludwig wrote the script for the film along with Hunter Maats. Billings is produced by Rick Dugdale of Enderby Entertainment, alongside Sharlene Ludwig, and Stephanie Simon. Preston Cook serves as the co-producer.

Sharing why he picked this story, Ludwig explained, "This story hit me hard because it’s not fiction for so many families — it’s reality. Billings isn’t just a film, it’s a conversation we need to have — it can move people to action."

Besides making Billings, the makers are also planning to make a global impact by launching BillingsForAmerica.com to help people of America understand and navigate the U.S. healthcare system.
