Even as Spider-Man: Brand New Day gears up to continue Peter Parker’s journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), actor Tom Holland has sparked speculation about another beloved web-slinger making his live-action debut.

In a recent interview with Hobby Consolas, Holland revealed that bringing Miles Morales into the MCU remains one of his long-term goals, although he suggested the idea is still some distance away from becoming reality. “I have aspirations to bring Miles Morales into the universe,” Holland said, adding that there is still “a lot of work to do” before that vision can materialise.

While Marvel Studios has not officially announced any plans for Miles’ arrival, Holland’s comments have once again fuelled fan discussions around the character’s future in live action.

Created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, Miles Morales first appeared in Ultimate Comics Fallout #4 in 2011. Over the years, the character found a wider global audience through the acclaimed Spider-Verse animated films and Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man titles.

Meanwhile, Brand New Day will pick up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), which ended with Peter Parker choosing to erase himself from the memories of those closest to him. The new chapter reportedly follows Peter as he attempts to balance life in New York while continuing his responsibilities as Spider-Man, only to face an unusual physical transformation and an emerging threat.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the fourth standalone MCU Spider-Man film sees Holland return alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando and Sadie Sink, whose role remains under wraps. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to release in India on July 30, 2026, ahead of its worldwide release on July 31.
