Millie Bobby Brown is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Enola Holmes 3 for Netflix which comes months after she closed the doors to globally popular Stranger Things series which was her first official claim to fame. The Duffer Brothers as well as Brown have gone forward with their upcoming projects, but questions on her character Eleven continue to linger on social media.

As an extension of the same, Millie Bobby Brown, in a recent interview Jimmy Fallon, revealed that it was extremely hard to sit through interviews and lie about her Eleven's fate. "I wore black for the whole press tour because I was mourning her and everyone were like, 'Oh my god, I love her black press looks.' I was like, 'You have no idea'," Fallon later played a video of Millie Bobby Brown looking visibly distraught and emotional after completing works for the finale of Stranger Things and shared that he still believes Eleven is alive after the shocking course of events that happened in the finale.

"You have to believe. For my mental health, I had to believe. It took a real toll on me. I had to say goodbye to such an impactful show that changed my life forever. I think it took a real toll on all of us. But I had to believe, because I couldn't come to terms with the goodbye," she said, debunking the viral "conformity gate" theory where fans were expecting a secret ninth episode following the fifth season's ending.

"Oh my gosh! Shut up!," she retorted, acknowledging Fallon's thought that the eighth episode was the "perfect ending" to the series.

For the unversed, Stranger Things season 5 ended with Eleven sacrificing herself to destroy the Upside Down, allowing the gates to close permanently. The finale then jumps 18 months ahead to show a rebuilding Hawkins and a deeply emotional epilogue where the gang honors her memory by while finding closure in their own lives. The ending remains ambiguous, but Mike and the gang choose to believe that her sister Kali used her powers to project a fake Eleven, allowing the real one to escape and live in peace.
