Outside of Rocky, Sylvester Stallone is best known for his role in the Rambo franchise. Earlier this Friday, the actor shared a deleted scene from Rambo 4 and expressed his regret for not resisting the decision to cut it. "This scene should've never been taken out of Rambo 4. It really sums up the mentality of the soldiers that served in Vietnam and were left quite disillusioned," Stallone wrote.

The actor added, "The older I get the more I regret not demanding that certain things remained in this film, my favorite action film that I've ever participated in. It was based on real truth and actual events, by giving into pressure and omitting certain key moments really changed the entire meaning of the feature itself. This is a lesson for those were ever on the fence about an important decision, always go with your heart and never give in to people that will never ever share your soulful passion."

A user asked Sylvester Stallone who had the scene deleted from the film, and the actor said that it was the studio that suggested it. "I in a moment of weakness let them have their way. And I regret it every day," the actor added.

Many of Stallone's followers and fans agreed with his assessment, and he responded to some of them. One user called Rambo 4 "an underrated masterpiece" and shared his expectation to watch a sixth instalment in the franchise that is similar to the former. In his response, Stallone said that nobody wished to make the fourth part. "It was done on less than $9 million budget but to me it was the most soulful deep and realistic action film I could ever imagine," the actor shared.

Another user commended Stallone's work as a director and said that the actor himself helmed his best films. In response, Stallone said, "Thank you very much. I wish there was an opportunity to do one more. But maybe something magical might happen soon. We are discussing a prequel with the assistance of AI. That could absolutely duplicate Rambo at 18 years old and you can see what caused him to become the way he did."

Speaking of which, Sylvester Stallone is part of a John Rambo prequel, starring Noah Centineo in the titular role. The other prequel he referred to appears to be one starring himself with the assistance of AI.
