Curry Barker's latest film Obsession is currently the talk of the town, breaking box office milestones and garnering rave reviews from audiences and critics.
Shot in a budget of less than $1 million, the horror film is eyeing a $250 million+ box office revenue, going by the current trends which is nearly 200 times its budget. It is already the highest-grossing feature in Focus Features history.
While the film has been setting cash registers ringing, Curry Barker has quietly started working on his next film Anything But Ghosts, which is also backed by Focus Features and Blumhouse, along with Atomic Monster. Chris Reinacher of Superstore and The Mindy Project-fame has joined the film which will also be produced by Spooky Pictures and Divide/Conquer.
Blumhouse and Atomic Monster identified YouTuber Curry and propelled him to fame through Obsession. It was them who encouraged Focus to acquire the horror film out of Toronto International Film Festival.
