The Odyssey Mumbai premiere: Tom Holland dubs Indian audiences as the 'most energetic'

Tom Holland, along with Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas, and Matt Damon, is in Mumbai for the Indian premiere of The Odyssey

A week before Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey opens in theatres, the director along with producer Emma Thomas, and actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland, are in Mumbai for the Indian premiere of the film. Based on Homer's poem of the same name, The Odyssey is set to release on July 17.

Speaking at the event, Tom Holland shared his amazement of the Indian audience's passion for cinema. "I would just like to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for welcoming us with such open arms, with so much happiness, excitement, grace, and love. I think no one brings an energy to a movie theatre like you do here. Thank you for supporting us, thank you for enjoying Chris' amazing work."

Holland portrays Telemachus, the son of King Odysseus of Ithaca, played by Damon. During Odysseus' journey back to Ithaca after the Trojan War, Telemachus who seeks to find is father.

The cast of The Odyssey also includes Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong'o, Samantha Morton, and Jon Bernthal, among others.

Nolan's regular collaborators, Oscar winning music composer Ludwig Gorannson and Oscar winning cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema are on board The Odyssey's crew.
