On Wednesday night, Disney dropped a new teaser for its upcoming film Camp Rock 3 and announced its release date. The third instalment in the musical film franchise is slated to release on August 13 on Disney Channel and on the subsequent day on Disney+ as well. It remains to be seen whether the film will be made available on JioHotstar in India.

It is written by Eydie Faye and directed by Veronica Rodriguez. Besides reprising their roles as Connect 3 band members in the film, the Jonas Brothers serve as executive producers on it alongside Demi Lovato. Also part of the executive production team are Tim Federle, Spencer Berman, Gary Marsh, and Betsy Sullenger.

What is the story of Camp Rock 3?

The Gray brothers come back for a Camp Rock musical competition to find new faces who can showcase their talents on their nationwide tour. As per the official synopsis, aspiring campers participate in the competition for the opportunity to perform with Connect 3, contributing to friendships, rivalries, unexpected associations and even new romantic relationships.

The caption for the new Camp Rock 3 teaser reads, "When Connect 3 returns to their beloved Camp Rock to find a new opening act, campers must use every skill at their disposal to secure their spots."

What does the Camp Rock 3 teaser show?

The latest preview introduces a fresh set of performances at Camp Rock, who include Liamani Segura, Lumi Pollack, Malachi Barton, Hudson Stone, Brooklynn Pitts, Ava Jean, and Casey Trotter. Maria Canals-Barrera reprises her character as the mother of Mitchie Torres, which is Lovato's original role. Meanwhile, Sherry Cola is also part of the cast.

The teaser also has 'One Beat Away,' the first original track from the film that is now available on streaming services.
