We may be done with Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Stranger Things. But she's sure making her return as the bubbly adolescent detective Enola Holmes in the third film from the franchise. When Enola Holmes 3 premieres on Netflix this July 1, the film hints at a lot of romance with her marriage on the cards, as per the recently unveiled photos from the film.
The teen spy can be seen in the wedding gown in one photo and along with Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) in another. But the most important photo of them all is her amidst a raging fire. Is that what she's investigating the third time around?

Apart from Millie Bobby Brown as the titular character and Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Henry Cavill is back as Sherlock Holmes. Himesh Patel, who made an appearance at the end of Enola Holmes 2, will be seen in a longer arc as Dr Watson in the upcoming film. Also returning are Helena Bonham Carter and Sharon Duncan-Brewster. While the former plays Eudoria Holmes, mother of the Holmes family, the latter plays the main antagonist in the second film.

Speaking about the evolution of her character to Netflix's Tudum, Brown said, "She’s (Enola) built something for herself, which is amazing, but she’s also questioning what she wants next. I think that’s something so many people can relate to. There’s this pressure of, ‘Ok, I’ve achieved this…but who am I now?’”

While the first two films in the series were directed by Harry Bradbeer, Philip Barantini has been seated on the director's chair for Enola Holmes 3. The Adolescence-fame filmmaker has helmed the film from a script by Jack Thorne, who penned the first two films based on the book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer.

The Enola Holmes franchise follows the coming-of-age journey of Enola Holmes, the fiercely independent younger sister of the legendary Sherlock Holmes.
In Enola Holmes 1, she fights against her overprotective brother Mycroft and tries to follow a trail leading to her missing mother, Eudoria. In the process, she meets Lord Tewkesbury and eventually gets entangled with his threat to life. As he attempts to save him, he uncovers the bigger ploy against a reform bill in the government. Having saved him and found her mother, she then decides to begin a detective agency for lost souls.
The action in Enola Holmes 2 begins when she is approached by a girl, working in a matchstick factory, to find her sister. As Enola digs deeper, she uncovers a conspiracy involving corrupt officials and dangerous business interests, while her brother Sherlock wrestles with a parallel case tied to a mysterious criminal mastermind. The narrative eventually converges, revealing the emergence of Moriarty as a formidable adversary. The film also shows her strengthening her bond with Lord Tewkesbury, leading to a bloom in their romance.
The second film ends with Enola stepping out of her brother's shadow and proving herself to be an able detective and not just the sister of Sherlock Holmes.
