Actor-songwriter Maya Hawke, known for Stranger Things, got married to musician Christian Lee Hutson in a surprise ceremony on Valentine's Day in New York. After photos from their intimate wedding went viral online, the star-studded celebration took their fans by surprise.
The private wedding took place on February 14, with close friends and family. Several cast members from the Netflix series, Stranger Things including Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Gaaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalie Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery, attended the wedding. Hawke's parents, actor Ethan Hawke, known for Before Sunrise (1995) and Moon Knight (2022), and Uma Thurman, known for Kill Bill (2023) and Pulp Fiction (1994), also attended the wedding.
The couple, who were romantically together since 2023, made their red carpet debut in 2025. They chose to keep the ceremony under wraps and revealed it only after the festivities concluded. Reports also suggest that the reception continued late into the evening at a private venue in Manhattan where the couple hosted other friends from the music and entertainment industry.
Hawke wore a soft, white ball-gown with a boat neckline silk wedding dress adorned with a bow. The Little Woman (2017) actor topped off the garment with a lace veil and a feathery white coat. The musician Hutson was spotted in a classic tuxedo.
Christian Lee Hutson has released three albums, co-produced by American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers. On the other hand, Hawke was last seen in the final season of the Netflix series, Stranger Things. She is also awaiting the release of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
