On Thursday, the streaming platform Prime Video dropped the trailer of its upcoming series, titled Off Campus, an adaptation of Elle Kennedy's book series. The entire series, hailing from creator Louisa Levy, will become available on the streamer on May 13, Wednesday. It stars Ella Bright of Malory Towers and The Crown fame and Belmont Cameli, the star of Saved by the Bell and Until Dawn, in important roles.
According to the official synopsis, "Off Campus follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood. Season One follows the sexy and fun “opposites attract” romance between quiet songwriter, Hannah, and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete, Garrett."
Also starring in the series are actors Mika Abdalla (Sex Appeal, Snack Shack), Antonio Cipriano (National Treasure: Edge of History, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Jalen Thomas Brooks (Thanksgiving, The Pitt), Stephen Kalyn (Motorheads, Gen V), and Josh Heuston (Heartbreak High, Dune: Prophecy).
Elle Kennedy has authored over 50 contemporary romance and fiction novels. Some of her books are recognised as bestsellers by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. Her novels are also translated into more than 25 languages, and more than 10 million copies of these have been sold across the world. A version of Kennedy's book cover, which features Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright, has been released as well.
Coming back to the upcoming series, Louisa Levy serves as its co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Gina Fattore. Executive producers also include Wyck Godfrey, James Seidman and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill; Leanna Billings for Billings Productions, and Neal Flaherty.
