Netflix's Ransom Canyon season 2 adds to cast

Ransom Canyon stars Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly in the lead, with James Brolin, Josh Brolin's father, playing a pivotal role

Netflix announced that the second season of Ransom Canyon is adding more to its cast. Joining the season two of the romantic drama are Ben Robson and Heidi Engerman.

April Blair created Ransom Canyon, adapting Jodi Thomas' books of the same name for the streamer. Blair also serves as an executive producer along with lead star Josh Duhamel, director Amanda Marsalis, Dan Angel, and Joe Fazzio. The first season premiered on Netflix on April 17.

The first season revolves around the romance shared between Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel), a stoic rancher and Quinn O'Grady (Minka Kelly), a community leader. They are caught between a battle waged to gain control of the ranch lands of Texas, USA.

Robson has been part of TV series like Animal Kingdom, Vikings, and The Continental: From the World of John Wick. Meanwhile, Engerman's performances are in projects like Candyman (2021), and Chicago Fire.
