The Super Mario Bros sequel gets new title

The Super Mario Bros Movie was released in 2023, and featured starred Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Jack Black as Bowser

In the recent Direct event conducted by Nintendo, the title for The Super Mario Bros Movie sequel was revealed to be The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The film is releasing theatrically on April 3, 2026.

A short teaser for the sequel was also released featuring Mario, Toad, Monty Mole, and Princess Peach's castle. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, who also directed The Super Mario Bros Movie.

Nintendo also announced that Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Charlie Day, and Kevin Michael Richardson will return as Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, Toad, Luigi, and Lamek respectively.

The Super Mario Bros Movie follows the adventure of two Italian American plumbers, Mario and Luigi, who gets entangled in a war between The Mushroom Kingdom, headed by Princess Peach, and the Koopas, headed by Bowser. The film also featured the characters like Donkey Kong,
