Apple TV+ renews Foundation for a fourth season

Apple TV+'s Foundation is based on Isaac Asimov's novel series of the same name

Apple TV+ recently announced that the science fiction series, Foundation, will return for a fourth season. The announcement was made ahead of the premiere of the third season's finale.

Based on Isaac Asimov's novel series of the same name, Foundation, has Ian Goldberg and David Kob as the showrunners. Golderberg and Kob serve as executive producer along with Bill Bost, Pace, Michael Satrazemis, Robyn Asimov, and David S. Goyer. Goyer is known for his work on Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy.

The cast for Foundation includes Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Cherry Jones, Brandon P Bell, Synnove Karlsen, Cody Fern, Tomas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann, Rowena King, Oscar Winner Troy Kotsur, and Pilou Asbaek.

Foundation is set far into the future where the galaxy is ruled by three clones of Emperor Cleon: Brother Dawn, Brother Day, and Brother Dusk. Their despotic regime is challenged by Hari Seldon, who seeks to establish a repository of knowledge, that will end the rule of Cleons, called Foundation.
