Siddharth to star opposite Frieda Pinto in Netflix's Unaccustomed Earth

Siddharth, who joins the Frieda Pinto-led series Unaacustomed Earth, was seen in Netflix's Test and 3 BHK

Netflix has announced that Siddharth will join the cast of its upcoming English-language series, Unaccustomed Earth. He will star opposite to Freida Pinto, who leads the cast of Unaccustomed Earth.

The series, which is based on Jhumpa Lahiri's book of the same name, is created by John Wells, with Madhuri Shekar as the showrunner. Wells and Shekar serve as executive producers with Lahiri, Erica Saleh, Nisha Ganatra, Celia Costas, Erin Jontow, and Ritesh Batra. Batra will direct the first two episodes of the series, whos first season consists of eight episodes. Batra is known for directing films like The LunchboxPhotograph, and Our Souls At Night. John Wells Productions and Warner Bros Television are backing the series.

Unaccustomed Earth is centred around the elite Indian American community in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Siddharth will star as Amit Mukherjee, who is Parul Chaudhury's (Freida Pinto) long lost lover. Amit is a man who wears his emotions on his sleeve, and is the friend everyone turns to in the time of crisis. Amit's and Parul's world unravels as the community in Cambridge learns of the affair.

The cast of the series also includes Sarayu Blue, Indraneil Sengupta, Adi Roy, and Iyla Sundarsingh McKaig.
