We had reported in 2024 about Glen Powell and Margaret Qualley coming together for an upcoming revenge thriller Huntington. The film has now been rechristined as How to Make a Killing with the makers finally locking a release date. Directed by John Patton Ford, the film is slated to hit theatres on February 20, 2026.
According to the description, How to Make a Killing follows Becket Redfellow (Powell), heir to a multibillion-dollar fortune, who will stop at nothing to ensure his inheritance. It is inspired by filmmaker Robert Hamer's 1949 British crime movie Kind Hearts and Coronets. The film also stars Ed Harris, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace and Raff Law in prominent roles.
Upon release on February 20, the film is set to clash with Psycho Killer and I Can Only Imagine 2.
Ford previously directed his debut film Emily the Criminal (2022), which starred Aubrey Plaza as the titular character, alongside Theo Rossi, Megalyn Echikunwoke, and Gina Gershon in supporting roles.
Glen Powell is known for his projects like Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone but You and Twisters. He was recently seen in Edgar Wright's The Running Man which is currently running in theatres. His upcoming projects include Ghostwriter, helmed by JJ Abrams where he stars alongside Jenna Ortega, Emma Mackey and Samuel L Jackson.
