Recently, we reported that the sequel to Red, White & Royal Blue had been titled Red, White & Royal Wedding. In a recent interview with E! News, Taylor Zakhar Perez has said he hopes to begin working on the film in 2026, while also teasing the sequel's script.

"I read the script, and it’s really good," he recently said when asked about reprising his role as Alex Claremont-Diaz, adding, "There’s a huge appetite for the sequel, so I’m looking forward to it." He also teased that the filming may begin "in the new year".

Also starring Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Henry, the sequel will be directed by five-time Emmy-nominated Jamie Babbit from a script by Gemma Burgess, Matthew López, and Red, White & Royal Blue author Casey McQuiston. Plot details have been kept under wraps, but given the title, fans can expect a royal wedding and the events leading up to it.

The 2023 film revolves around Prince Henry, third in line to the British throne, and Alex Claremont-Diaz, the first son of the United States, who fall in love with each other. The film ends with Alex and Henry in a relationship, fighting all the odds that could separate them. Upon release on the streamer, the film was met with positive reviews across the globe.

Along with the actors, producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter of Berlanti Schechter Films are returning to back the project, along with Michael McGrath and Matthew López, who are also part of the banner. Jennifer Salke of Sullivan Street Productions is also producing, with Casey McQuiston and Michael Constable serving as executive producers.
