Bridgerton fans, rejoice! Netflix has officially renewed the beloved Regency-era series for Seasons 5 and 6, extending the romantic saga of the Bridgerton family well into the future. The news was confirmed at Netflix’s upfront presentation, accompanied—as tradition dictates—by a cheeky edition of Lady Whistledown’s society papers.

While no official plot details have been confirmed for the two newly announced seasons, the storylines are expected to spotlight Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd), whose romance arc begins in Season 3, and Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), a fan favourite who’s long awaited her own central narrative.

As for Season 4, the streamer has confirmed a 2026 premiere, keeping with Bridgerton’s current every-other-year release rhythm. The new season, which comprises eight episodes, will centre on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the bohemian second son, and his romantic journey. Netflix also unveiled a first-look clip of Benedict’s first encounter with Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha.

Since its explosive debut in December 2020, Bridgerton has become one of Netflix’s most-watched series globally. The series has also evolved into a full-blown commercial empire, spawning merchandise, immersive events, and the acclaimed prequel Queen Charlotte.

The returning cast for Season 4 includes Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, Golda Rosheuvel, Ruth Gemmell, Claudia Jessie, Luke Newton, and many more—along with series narrator Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown.

Executive producers include Jess Brownell (also serving as showrunner), Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Bridgerton creator Chris Van Dusen.
