Taylor Swift has firmly denied any significant involvement in the film adaptation of It Ends With Us, following reports that she was subpoenaed in the ongoing legal battle between lead actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

In a statement to E! News, Swift’s team clarified that her only contribution to the film was permitting the use of her track 'My Tears Ricochet' on the soundtrack, joining 19 other artists. “She never set foot on the set, had no casting or creative input, did not score the film, and didn’t even see an edit,” her reps said, adding that Swift only watched the movie weeks after its public release due to her tour schedule.

Swift’s camp also criticised the subpoena, calling it an attempt to exploit her name for media attention. “This document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift's name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case,” the statement read.

The legal dispute centres on allegations by Lively accusing Baldoni—who also directed and co-produced the film—of sexual harassment. Baldoni has denied the claims and countersued Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, for defamation and civil extortion. A trial is scheduled for March 2026.
