A new thriller from director Luca Elmi, titled Hostage, will be headlined by William Moseley, known for The Chronicles of Narnia, and Mark Valley of Boston Legal fame. The film is all set to wrap production in Kentucky this week.
Drew Ingram has penned the script for Hostage, which will revolve around a charismatic politician's ascent to the governor's seat. However, his ambition is put to the test when a high-pressure hostage crisis erupts, forcing him to confront his troubled past and potentially destroying his bid for power.
Hostage is produced by Stagmoor Studios. Moseley will be seen as Logan Marshall, a charismatic politician on the rise. Valley will play Jon Lewis, his ruthless campaign manager. Behind Logan's polished public image, he's struggling to keep his darker impulses in check. As the Kentucky gubernatorial election heats up, Logan's life begins to unravel, testing Jon's loyalty and patience.
Elmi, a Milan-based director and producer, has co-produced several features through his company Roman Citizen, including Succede and The First King, for which he received the 2019 Producer of the Year award at the David di Donatello Film Festival.
Meanwhile, actor Moseley has several upcoming projects, including Hallmark's Royal-Ish, the sci-fi feature Home Sweet Home: Rebirth, and Derek Estlin Purvis' action feature The Ballad of Davy Crockett. He's known for his role as Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy and has appeared in various films, including On the Line, Raven's Hollow, and Medieval. Valley, a seasoned actor, has had recurring roles in several TV series, including Human Target, Harry's Law, Boston Legal, and Fringe.
