The cast of HBO's Harry Potter series continues to expand as Nick Frost is in talks to play Rubeus Hagrid, reports Deadline. The series adaptation of JK Rowling's novels was announced in 2023.

Meanwhile HBO said the following in a statement, “We appreciate that such a high-profile series will draw a lot of rumour and speculation. As we make our way through pre-production, we will only confirm details as we finalise deals.”
Planned to run for ten years, the Harry Potter series has Francesca Gardiner as the showrunner and a writer. She is known for writing on shows like Succession and His Dark Materials. Mark Mylod is set to serve as a director and executive producer for the series.
