Actors Dan Bucatinsky and Kevin Dillon have onboarded the cast of the upcoming film The Highest Stakes. The thriller also features Dylan Walsh, Seth Green and Charlie Weber in prominent roles.

According to the makers, The Highest Stakes follows five strangers who are invited to a high-stakes poker game. As hours pass by and as the night comes along, all their buried secrets are revealed. It is then that they realise that the game isn’t about winning–it’s about survival.

Tony Dean Smith will be directing the film from a story by Paul and script written by Gary Preisler. Paramount distributes the film.

Bucatinsky portrays Dr. Scott Stevens, a gifted yet high-strung surgeon with a gambling problem who turns to the black market, making tens of thousands of dollars each month by illegally harvesting kidneys from unsuspecting patients to clear his debt.

Dillon takes on the role of Detective Michael Quinn, a seasoned and decorated investigator who has experienced plenty of action. He is also one of the participants in this game.

Dan Bucatinsky is set to take on a significant recurring role in the fourth season of Hacks and is also contributing as a creative producer and writer for Hulu’s Midcentury Modern.

Kevin Dillon, best recognised for playing Johnny “Drama” Chase on Entourage, has also appeared in notable films such as Platoon, No Escape, and the cult favorite The Blob.
