Rege-Jean Page, who impressed fans as Simon Basset in the Netflix series Bridgerton's first season, expressed his willingness to come back to the series to complete his character's arc. While promoting his film Black Bag, Entertainment Tonight asked Rege-Jean Page whether he would think about coming back to Bridgerton. In reply, the actor said that he would be "happy to support everyone who is in the show."
Reportedly, Rege-Jean Page had earlier stated that his role in the series was meant as a single-season character, and he even gave his go-ahead should the makers decide to cast someone else in the same role in the future.
Bridgerton is expected to have a fourth season later this year, with production on the verge of getting wrapped. Luke Thompson reprises his role as Benedict Bridgerton, the laid-back second son in the titular family. The fourth season of the series will revolve around Luke Thompson's character. The official description says, "Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball."
The returning cast members of the drama series include Jonathan Bailey, Ruth Gemmell, Hannah Dodd, Florence Hunt, Claudia Jessie and Will Tilston. Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan, who led the third season are also expected to return.
