After playing a glamorous showgirl in her comeback film, The Last Showgirl, Pamela Anderson has landed another project. She is set to star in Place to Be, a drama from Pieces of a Woman filmmaker Kornel Mundruczo. The actor joins Taika Waititi and Ellen Burstyn in the film.

Speaking about the latest addition to the cast, Mundruczo told Deadline that he admires Pamela Anderson and finds her a "versatile" actor. Anderson's performance in The Last Showgirl earned her nominations at the Golden Globes, Gotham Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Place to Be reunites Mundruczo with his Pieces Of A Woman co-writer Kata Weber. It revolves around a no-nonsense woman (Burstyn) and a discombobulated divorcee's (Waititi) trip from Chicago to bring a racing pigeon back to its rightful owner in New York. Anderson is set to portray the woman's daughter, who comes to terms with life after second marriage and is anxious about finding a new home for her ageing mother.

Anderson's upcoming projects also include the Naked Gun reboot, with Liam Neeson, and Rosebush Pruning alongside Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Elle Fanning, Lucas Gage, Tracy Letts, and Jamie Bell.
