Dumb and Dumber star Jeff Daniels joins the cast of Apple TV+'s Shrinking for its third season. Shrinking, created by its lead Jason Segel with Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, premiered on Apple TV+ in 2023.

Jason Segel stars as Jimmy, a therapist who is grieving a loss, and in that process breaches the ethical boundaries for counselling patients by starting to speak his mind, which results in changes to the lives of his patients and himself. Apart from Segel, the cast of Shrinking includes Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, Christa Miller, and Ted McGinley. Jeff Daniels joins in a guest role as Segel's father, reports Deadline.

Daniels is known for his roles in Dumb and Dumber, Steve Jobs, The Martian, The Newsroom, and The Comey Rule. He will next be seen in Reykjavik as former US President Ronald Reagan, along with Jared Harris as Mikhail Gorbachev.
