A film based on singer-songwriter Randy Travis, titled Forever and Ever, Amen, has been announced, with Andrew Hyatt serving as its writer, director, and co-producer. The Randy Travis biopic, which teams up producers Eric Groth and Hyatt, has roped in country music singer Clay Walker to star in the lead role.

According to reports, the film will explore three phases of Travis' life, meaning three actors are set to play him. Walker will portray Travis as a 40- and 50-something musician. The agency Engine Casting is searching for actors to portray the musician as a boy and a young adult.

Travis is also attached to the project as an executive producer, alongside his spouse Mary Travis.

The film's title refers to the musician's 1987 song 'Forever and Ever, Amen', which won the year's best single at CMA Awards. Travis experienced a stroke around 10 years ago, but he keeps producing original music using technology. He also performed 'Forever and Ever, Amen' at the ceremony where the project was announced.
