Peacock’s upcoming mystery comedy series, The 'Burbs, led by Keke Palmer, has expanded its ensemble with six new recurring guest stars.

The latest additions include Haley Joel Osment (Blink Twice), RJ Cyler (The Harder They Fall), Justin Kirk (Angels in America), Kyrie McAlpin (Cheaper by the Dozen), Danielle Kennedy (Man on the Inside, Narcos), and Randy Oglesby (Star Trek). They join the previously announced cast, which features Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar.

An adaptation of the 1989 film of the same name, The ‘Burbs, brings the story into a modern-day setting. According to its official synopsis, the show revolves around a young couple who reluctantly move into the husband’s childhood home. Their peaceful life is soon disrupted when a mysterious new neighbour arrives, unearthing buried secrets from the cul-de-sac and exposing dangerous threats that shatter the illusion of suburban tranquillity.

Celeste Hughey serves as the series’ writer and executive producer, alongside Palmer and Rachel Shukert. Nzingha Stewart is set to direct the first episode. Additional executive producers include Brian Grazer, who produced the original film, and Kristen Zolner and Natalie Berkus for Imagine Entertainment. Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Aimee Carlson are producing under their company, Fuzzy Door, which has an overall deal with Universal Content Productions, the studio backing the series. Dana Olsen, the screenwriter of the 1989 film, is also involved as a co-executive producer.

Production will take place on the Universal Studios backlot in Los Angeles, the same location where the original film was shot.
