The Monkey, directed by Osgood Perkins, is now available to stream on Prime Video. The film, based on the eponymous 1980 short story by Stephen King, hit theatres on February 21 and opened to average reviews.

The film revolves around twins Hall and Bill, both played by actor Theo James, who find their father's old cursed toy in the attic. As it leads to gruesome deaths, they try to get rid of the toy. Years later, the deaths resurface, forcing the twins to come back once again to kill the toy once and for all.

An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "Despite its flaws, The Monkey stays true to its promises—creative, absurd, and often hilarious death sequences that keep the film engaging. The killings are staged with an inventive flair that turns them into a twisted spectacle."

Christian Convery, Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Colin O'Brien, Rohan Campbell, and Sarah Levy round out the cast of The Monkey. Backed by Atomic Monster, C2 Motion Picture Group, Range, Oddfellows Entertainment, Black Bear Pictures, and Stars Collective Films, the film is distributed by Neon.
