Apple TV+ recently revealed the release date for Jessica Chastain's upcoming thriller, The Savant. The miniseries is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on September 26.

Based on Andrea Stanley's 2019 article for Cosmopolitan, titled Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?, the series follows a person only known as The Savant, an undercover investigator, who infiltrates online hate groups to prevent domestic acts of terrorism. The miniseries will consist of eight episodes.

The cast of The Savant also includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Battiste, and Pablo Schreiber, in a guest appearance.

Chastain also serves as an executive producer for the series with Kelly Carmichael, Matthew Heineman, Melissa James Gibson, Garrett Kemble, David Levine, and Alan Poul. Andrea Stanley, is also on board as a consultant. Freckle Films and Anonymous Content are backing the series.

Jessica Chastain is an Academy Award Winner known for films like The Eyes of Tammy Faye, The Help, Zero Dark Thirty, and The Good Nurse. She was recently seen alongside Anne Hathaway in Mothers' Instinct.
